
Hakan Çalışkan
Hakan Çalışkan graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Maritime Faculty, with a B.Sc. in Marine Engineering Operations in 1991.
His career spans over three decades in the maritime industry, where he has held key positions including Chief Engineer, Technical Manager, and Marine Engine Inspector. Between 1991 and 2004, he served onboard various vessels—such as tankers, dry cargo, container, and chemical tankers—as Watch Engineer, 2nd Engineer, and Chief Engineer.
After transitioning to land-based roles, he contributed to several leading shipping companies in Turkey, including Negmar Shipping, Istanbul Lines, and Manta Shipping. Since 2025, he has been working as an Engine Superintendent at Esko Ship Management and Operation L.L.C, bringing with him a wealth of technical knowledge, hands-on experience, and a deep understanding of ship engine systems.
Hakan’s comprehensive expertise in marine engineering, coupled with his practical approach and long-standing commitment to operational excellence, make him a trusted and valuable member of the ESKO team.
